BordeBaker Lodge is located 8 kilometers south of Puerto Bertrand, on the banks of the Baker River, Chile´s most abundant and one of the best for fly fishing practice.
One arrives crossing the Carretera Austral, a route that connects practically all the region of Aysén. It passes through forests, rivers, waterfalls, lakes, fjords, mountains, and glaciers in the heart of the Chilean Patagonia.
THE WEATHER
Patagonia has ever-changing weather: you can feel the four seasons in just one day. Between April and September is cold and unstable, with temperatures ranging from -15 to 10 º C. Between October and March it gets warmer and more stable, with temperatures ranging from 10 to 30 ºC . February is the month with the highest temperatures, and July the one with the lowest temperatures.
Recommendation regarding clothes and accessories: bring several layers and include one for rain. Cap, glasses and sunblock.
SURROUNDINGS
We are surrounded by native forests with species such as Lenga, Ñire, Ciprés and Coigüe. The fauna in this area has numerous species of animals and birds -mostly protected-, such as huemul, guanaco, fox, puma, hare, condor, eagle, hawk, cormorant, carpenter, chucao, among many others.

From Argentina
Chile Chico option: From the same route 40, crossing the Pueblo Los Antiguos in Argentina and entering Chile through Chile Chico. Continue west, pass through Puerto Guadal and then at the Carretera Austral (Route 7) road junction continue south. BordeBaker Lodge is 35 minutes away from the said intersection.
